Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, ensuring that educational goals and objectives are met.
• Assess students' abilities and learning styles to determine appropriate teaching methods and strategies.
• Adapt and modify instructional materials and techniques to accommodate students' diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with other teachers, support staff, and parents to create a supportive network for students.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing ongoing feedback and support.
• Utilize assistive technology and resources effectively to enhance learning experiences.
• Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters students' social and emotional growth.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of student performance, attendance, and behavior.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in special education or a related field required (Master's degree preferred).
• Active state license for OH as an Intervention Specialist.
• Experience working with students with diverse special needs, such as learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and emotional/behavioral disorders.
• 2 years of experience as an Intervention Specialist in school settings
