This position is 4 hours per day (20 hours per week) and pays $16.75 per hour. Duties Include: Perform a variety of assigned duties to measure out and prepare foods according to established recipes, serve and clean up work and dining areas. Prepare and serve food as needed for Hot Lunch and Snack Bars (if applicable). Follows standards of safety in preparing, storing, and serving food; practices procedures in food preparation, use and care of equipment, and personal habits to assure that sanitation standards are met. Work with such equipment as ovens, steam table, peeler, can opener, mixer, usual knives, spoons, ladles, etc., fryer or grills, meat slicer, steamer, and registers. Cook various meats, mix ingredients, wash and peel vegetables, open cans, make desserts, salads, and/or sandwiches. Serve lunches to faculty and students, serving portions as instructed by Kitchen Manager. Scrape pans, wash pots and pans, sweep floors, cleaning dining tables, set up tables with napkins, straws, etc. Carry food to or from coolers or refrigerators, put excess foods away, clean all Kitchen equipment, and Snack Bar equipment (if applicable). Assist manager with tickets, roll money. Performs other duties as assigned.
