Job Description: The PBL and Community Coordinator will provide instructional support and collaborative coaching to Innovation Early College High School teachers as they work to implement the IECHS Instructional Framework. This is an integrated approach fostering an open mind, love for learning, critical thinking, reflection and meaningful feedback. The PBL and Community Coordinator will lead teachers in the implementation of (Project Based Learning) PBL, the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and Human Centered Design Thinking through high-yielding teaching practices within the classroom. The PBL and Community Coordinator works with teachers in the classroom to support best PBL instructional practices using data including analysis of school-wide trends in PBL instruction. He/she will also make recommendations about potential next steps to address areas of need.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Designs and implements well organized individual and group learning opportunities that align to the IECHS Instructional Framework for teachers;
- Creates and delivers ongoing professional development for teachers in PBL;
- Assists teachers in aligning their PBL instruction with strong teaching methods, standards, and student data;
- Monitors teacher's implementation of the IECHS Instructional Framework and provides meaningful feedback and coaching;
- Assists in implementing assessment and grading practices to support the IECHS Instructional Framework;
- Assist students with PBL projects as needed;
- Contact speakers to help support teachers and inspire students during the PBL process;
- Coordinates with the Instructional Coach to create metrics to assess the impact and effectiveness of IECHS Instructional Framework and PBL;
- Coordinates with the Instructional Coach to identify, plan, and implement professional development related to the IECHS Instructional Framework;
- Coordinates with the Instructional Coach to support the sharing of identified best practices for fostering effective teaching and learning related to the IECHS Instructional Framework;
- Builds relationships with stakeholders in order to provide teachers and students with authentic PBL opportunities that fulfill the mission of IECHS;
- Seeks out local opportunities for teachers and students that align with the IECHS Instructional Framework;
- Meets with students, helps set career goals, and provides support for students to meet career goals;
- Maintains active membership on the IECHS Business Advisory Board.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
- Minimum of five years of teaching experience
- Current North Carolina Teaching License
- Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills for building an environment with a common instructional focus, promoting initiatives, and conveying expectations
- Knowledge of AVID, PBL and 17 Sustainable Development Goals perferred
