Outside Sales Representative - Akron Branch

This branch-based position involves meeting customer needs through consultation, guidance, follow-up and effective interaction on every transaction.
Responsibilities
- Ability to cross sell products from all Trumbull Divisions
- Establish and develop new accounts
- Call on existing and prospective customers in your assigned territory and beyond
- Provide account management support and work with customer service representatives to bring new customers into the Trumbull Family of customers
- Develop contacts and opportunities through manufacturing associations, engineering associations and other business associations
- Develop additional manufacturing representative networks
- Ensure accurate and timely order placement and follow up on fulfillment
- Execute target marketing program activities
- Perform annual territory sales forecasting
- Create, modify and maintain required sales reports
- Develop strong relationship between outside sales, inside sales and customer
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of related outside sales experience including prospecting, cold calling, presentations and closing sales.
- Requires knowledge in Residential Plumbing in general Industrial & MRO sales, Commercial Plumbing, Pipe, Valves & Fittings, Hydraulics. We value your other related life experience that can include skills/education in various trades and be very useful for inside sales finding resolution for customers
- Knowledge of the geography: customers, competitors, and the market conditions
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required; related field or related work experience
- Outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Good follow up skills and persistence
- Self- starter with the ability to work independently to plan, organize and perform all duties with minimal supervision. Exhibit passion for pursuing opportunities and discipline to manage and maintain a successful sustained territory
- Excellent phone presence and the ability to upsell
- Drives collaboration and able to work independently
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize work appropriately
- Demonstrated sense of urgency and decisiveness as appropriate
- Ability to react well in a fast-paced environment/follow through on commitments
- Proficient/accurate data entry skills
