Compliance Assistant/Assistant BSA Officer

Reports to: SVP/Compliance Officer
Supervises: None
Summary: Perform research and other duties to assist with the BSA/AML monitoring process. In addition, assist in preparing daily reports to ensure the financial institution is in compliance with laws and regulations. The position will start as a Compliance Assistant with the desire to progress into an Assistant BSA Officer.
Job Requirements:
- Good analytical skills, including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Good organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Banking experience preferred
- Ability to enter data on various system forms with speed and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure
- Regular attendance and punctuality are essential

Specific Job Functions:
- Compliance Assistant/Assistant BSA Officer assist in the BSA/AML compliance function.
- Compose/compile daily reports into Adobe Acrobat
- Perform extensive research function
- Process/generate daily reports in BSA/AML software
- Assist in the Currency Transaction Reporting Exemption and high-risk customers process
- Maintain and process high-risk and moderate high-risk customers
- Process monetary logs
- Assist with other BSA and Compliance issues and perform other duties as assigned
- Ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act
Qualifications
TrustTexas Bank is accepting applications for a Compliance Assistant at
our Cuero branch located at 121 E. Courthouse, Cuero, Texas.
The work schedule will be Monday- Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
This position will perform research and other duties to assist with the
BSA monitoring process and assist in ensuring the financial instituion is
in compliance with laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will
possess good analytical, organizational, verbal, written, and
interpersonal skills along with experience in Microsoft Office Suite and
Adobe Acrobat. Applicants must also have a high school diploma or
