Job DescriptionResponsible for the maintenance of the inventory records, property accountability files and Central Receiving operations.Essential Functions
- Employee will demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students and members of the community.
- Assist in campus deliveries of all supplies, equipment, and postal items received.
- Prepare and review documents requesting additions, deletions, and changes in personal property records maintained by the State per TSTC policies and State Comptroller guidelines.
- Prepare and review documents to transfer property between individual property accounts and surplus property.
- Maintain professional habits with good ethical choices.
- Perform specialized clerical and accounting duties that support the office organization.
- Receives, reviews, and prepares source documents for data entry into the accounting system financial documents including requisitions, accepting, issuing and delivering materials and supplies according to standard practices and procedures. Places inventory numbers on incoming property.
- Prepares and coordinates outgoing freight and postal items.
- Operate forklift, electric utility vehicles, warehouse equipment and postage meter
- Work on special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent with supplemental courses and/or training in supply operations, bookkeeping, inventory control, etc.
- Associate's Degree/career military training preferred.
- Two years of related and relevant work experience. Three years direct experience in related field with knowledge in administrative procedures for organizing and directing related work activities is preferred.
- Must be able to manage information in computer databases, be innovative in problem solving and interfacing with other department personnel and the public.
- Effective communication skills are mandatory
- High level of commitment to customer service and teamwork.
- Proficient use of personal computer and software applicable to the work.
- Possess valid Texas Driver's License and be insurable by the State of Texas.
- Sustained posture or intense attentiveness for prolonged periods. Light to heavy lifting (less than 30 lbs. to 70 lbs. possible). Some walking, pushing, and pulling on a regular basis. Unpleasant Exposure Minor Hazard: Moderate exposure to dust, grease, noise, inclement weather, temperature extremes, and unpleasant but not hazardous odors. Occasional exposure to risk controlled by safety precautions. Frequently or severe is limited.
- This job description covers a position in which the percentage of time spent on the essential functions will vary based on the workload and will ultimately be determined by the supervisor.
