TT Electronics’ Olathe, Kansas facility, is an industry-leading designer and manufacturer of custom magnetic products and assemblies. The Olathe-based site has 65 years’ experience in the design and development of unique harsh-environment solutions for mission-critical applications.

Role Overview and Responsibilities
Job Summary
Performs one or more of the Headcoil fabrication jobs: Painting, Potting and Lathe.
- Fabricator 1 can perform one of these operations.
- Fabricator 2 can perform two of these operations.
- Fabricator 3 can perform all three operations.
- Fabricator 4 can perform all three operations and in addition demonstrates solid performance in core values, continuous improvement and leadership.
Key Responsibilities include
- Reliable employee that can work well independently or within a team.
- Meets all expectations of the Company’s core values.
- Reads and performs work as assigned by the Production Lead.
- Meets productivity and utilization expectations.
- Displays process integrity.
- Displays the highest level of quality standards.
- Properly maintains work area cleanliness.
- Completes patch and sanding operations.
- Performs other duties as required and assigned.
Painting
- Demonstrates the ability to mix various types of paints in the correct ratios.
- Demonstrates the ability to paint various units meeting all quality and appearance requirements.
- Demonstrates the ability to perform autonomous maintenance operations on the painting equipment.
Potting
- Demonstrates the ability to properly dispense epoxy and pot units correctly.
- Demonstrates the ability to perform autonomous maintenance operations on the epoxy dispensing machine and ovens.
- Ensure molds are properly maintained.
Lathe
- Demonstrates the ability to run units on the lathe.
- Demonstrates the ability to make changes to the lathe program to ensure parts are correct.
- Demonstrates the ability to perform autonomous maintenance operations on the lathe.
Level 4: Lean Leadership
- Understanding of the principles of Lean Manufacturing.
- Possesses an understanding of the principles of visual workplace management.
- Possesses an understanding of problem solving (PDCA) and applies methodology.
- Displays an ability to train other team members in various production activities.
- Acts as a go-to resource for team members.
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
Qualifications
- Ability to read and understand production drawings and work instructions is required.
- Ability to work with chemicals is required.
- The position is in the production floor and could involve standing for long periods of time throughout the day.
- Lifting amounts up to 50 pounds is required.
- Meets vision requirements specified by quality management system.
- GED or High School Diploma is preferred but not required.
- Meets vision requirements specified by quality management system.
- This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
