What are the responsibilities and job description for the Air Traffic Controller position at TTGI?
The Air Traffic Controller this position will support Air Force Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) providing analysis, operational and airspace integration to implement and sustain UAS operations. This unique opening will provide experience working closely with DoD and FAA organizations. The candidate will need to work across multiple stakeholder agencies to draft, coordinate, review, edit, and assist in codifying and publishing information.
Candidate will need to enjoy working closely with a blended team working in a fast paced, high-profile environment in direct support of the warfighter. The team will have a variety of stakeholders and engineering disciplines related to UAS systems and the integration of new technology into the Air Force’s portfolio.

Sample Tasking May Include
- Support Air Force’s role in airspace integration and management, and command/control coordination for UAS operations worldwide
- Apply aviation skills, experience, and subject matter expertise to assist and advise the Government with the development of sUAS guidance, policy, and procedures for USAF units and other stakeholder organizations
- Draft, coordinate, review, edit, and assist in codifying and publishing information from USAF, USSOCOM, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Joint and USAF Doctrine Centers, the Air Land Sea Application Center, and other agencies as required
- Assist in the development and coordination of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Certificates of Waiver or Authorization (COAs) required to operate unmanned systems within the National Airspace System (NAS)
- Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and maintain) a Secret Clearance (additional clearance levels may be required)
- Candidate must have at least 10 years of experience working Air Traffic Control or related tasking for a DoD organization, with a preference for exposure working closely with UAS programs
- Relevant work experience and in-depth knowledge of FAAO 7110.65, 14 CFR Part 91, 14 CFR Part 107 and the DoD/FAA Memorandum of Understand for Unmanned Aircraft Operations in the National Airspace System
- Airspace management experience highly desired
