POSITION: Cleaning Person
OVERALL PURPOSE: To assure that all areas of the church are cleaned on a regular basis.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Will include but not be limited to the following:
- Assure that the Sanctuary, Narthex, kitchen, offices, classrooms, library, bathrooms, and hallways are thoroughly cleaned on a regular basis, ready for Sunday morning worship, and Wednesday night groups.
- Clean and restock the bathrooms on a twice-weekly basis.
- Collecting/taking out trash and recycling twice-weekly.
- Shall support the ministry of the church and be in alignment with the mission of the church, and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Reports to church office on supplies that need to be replenished and on maintenance issues.
WORKING TERMS:
- Hours may vary weekly, depending upon the cleaning needs for a particular week.
- Hours will be set with the Pastor, Administrative Assistant, and the Staff Parish Relations Chairperson.
- Compensation: $18.00 per hour; 20 hours per month. Extra hours as needed. Job is covered by Washington State Labor and Industries insurance for work related injuries. No other benefits. Deductions include: Social Security, Medicare, Federal Withholding and Workers Compensation (L & I).
- One hour sick leave provided for every 40 hours worked, per minimum wage act, Chapter 49.46 RCW.
- Background check required.
RESPONSIBLE TO: This position is responsible to the Pastor and the Staff Parish Relations Committee.
