What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Coordinator position at Turf Hotels Inc?

The Sales Coordinator holds an important role to the success of the hotel. You will assist in the execution of the administrative process, service, detail and efficiently communicate to hotel staff the group needs from time of booking through check out date. Efficiently perform all assigned sales duties including processing incoming leads and executing sales reporting requirements. Ensure all deadlines are met, perform assigned duties, maintain sales data files and act as liaison between sales and clients.

Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Prospecting new business and repeat clients through solicitation, networking, cold-calling
  • Conduct pre-event, main event, and post-event details for groups: Track, detail, and communicate with hotel staff and clients about the particulars of each function and/or group
  • Process all incoming business leads
  • Maintain files and up to date sales databases
  • Execute assigned sales reporting and ensure all deadlines are met
  • Follow-up on all special projects and assignments given by the GM
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
  • Responsibilities are subject to change

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) Required
  • Associate's Degree (two-year college or technical school) or Work Equivalent
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Experience in a hotel or related industry preferred
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Requires ability to sit, walk and stand during the workday; requires ability to lift 10 - 15 pounds.
  • Maintains and promotes a positive and cooperative work relationship with all hotel departments
  • While this position is Monday – Friday, weekends and holidays may be required based on the business needs.
