Formerly known as Project TURN, we were founded in 1973 by a group of parents who wanted better services for their adult children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Now known as TURN Community Services, we provide resources to more than 850 individuals with developmental disabilities. With locations from Brigham City to St. George, we offer a full range of services including day programs, residential living, art center programs, summer camp, and supported employment opportunities.

DAY TO DAY AS AN ART CENTER PROGRAM COORDINATOR

This Coordinator position is over a day program in Springville that specializes in Art, with an emphasis on writing, visual, and performance arts. This program supports 23 individuals with room to grow to 30 plus. The Coordinator oversees 1 Program Assistant and up to 5 DSPs. This center specializes in teaching all forms of art; writing, drawing, singing, dancing, painting, playing various instruments, and more, as well as spending a lot of time experiencing adventures outside of their building.

REQUIREMENTS FOR AN ART AND LEARNING CENTER PROGRAM COORDINATOR

• 1 years of work experience with individuals with disabilities (experience with challenging behaviors will be given preference)
• 1 years of supervisory experience in a work setting, consisting of interviewing and hiring staff, monitoring and evaluating performance, staff training and development, staff discipline, and scheduling
• Experience with various forms of art
• 18 years old
• Personal, reliable transportation
• Valid driver's license, car insurance, and clean driving record
• Willingness to drive large program buses and vans, and to train new employees to drive large vehicles
• Proficiency in Therap
