Turner Industries Group is looking for a QC Manager for Full-Time Maintenance work in Salt Lake City, UT.

General Job Description:
Exercises independent judgment; works under Quality Director; directs supervisors and a group of employees in all production areas
Functional Requirements:
Read and sign off on JSA; basic computer skills required; inspects work to ensure adherence to company standards; trains and assists workers in performance of their duties; supervises and coordinates activities of assigned workers; interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations; analyzes and resolves work related problems; ensures job site materials and equipment are in good condition; may maintain time, production and other records; may study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job and maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times
Qualification Standards:
1) Have minimum of 5 years of experience as a Class "A" Quality Control Inspector
2) Have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quality Control Supervisor
3) Have a current CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) certification or has previously held CWI certification
4) Familiar with ASME and API Codes
5) Have the ability to write welding and operating procedures
6) Have the ability to perform all required NDE(with the exception of UT)
7) Have the ability to schedule work activities and to coordinate with other departments
8) Have the ability to conduct Pre-Fabrication Meetings and respond to questions from clients
9) Have writing/reporting skills commiserate with job title
10) Pre-employment qualification test if applicable
11) Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
12) Hazard Communication orientation/test
13) Turner Industries Group Indoctrination
14) OSHA approved corrective eye wear (Z87)
15) Job site orientation
16) Job site "Personal Protective Equipment" requirements (hearing protection, safety glasses, long sleeve shirt gloves, steel toe boots, etc)

Physical Involvement:
Employee may be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.; reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools equipment, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction

b.) Mobility Barriers to Access Job Site: uneven ground levels; obstructed pathways; work performed at low and/or high elevations; work performed in confined areas
c.) Climatic/Environmental Conditions at Job Site: may be exposed to extreme hot or cold weather, excessive humidity, rain, etc.; various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment, etc.; potential exposure to chemical substances
Miscellaneous Requirements:
There will be times that the individual may be required to perform a task other than their normal operation as required by the company or the foreman, owing to the job demand.
