POSITION: Grant/Crisis Call Specialist
STATUS: Full Time
RESPONSIBLE TO: Executive Director
Job Summary: Responsible for daytime management of crisis line, scheduling appointments for clients, serving as a receptionist for counseling services, seeking and writing new grants and assisting with existing grants, and providing resources and referral to clients and clerical support to administrative staff.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Crisis Call Line:
Serve as primary staff person responding to crisis line.
Make appropriate referrals as needed.
Screen clients for shelter, counseling, and court advocacy services.
Consult with direct service staff on a regular basis.
Grant Writing:
Seeking new grant opportunities that align with the organization's mission and goals.
Managing new grant processes including registration, submission of required documentation, collecting data, and composing effective narratives describing history, purpose, needs, goals, etc.
Assisting in the submission of existing and extended grant proposals.
Detailed organizational skills
Reception
Serve as a receptionist for the counseling services at the administrative office.
Schedule appointments/make cancellations for counseling services.
Clerical
Serve as primary staff member in charge of item donations.
Serve as clerical staff for counselors.
Assist administrative staff with clerical duties.
Enter monthly agency data into computer system.
Run errands.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Work Schedule
Normal work schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, during office hours.
