TGTHR is looking for a Director of People and Engagement to lead the department as the company scales into the next phase of operational growth. This is a unique opportunity to work hands-on and at a strategic level to operationalize best practices within the People and Engagement department to support company acceleration. Reporting directly to our COO, this person will be accountable for major functions of the human resources department including performance management, employee engagement and recognition, employee relations, compensation and total rewards, talent Development, JEDI initiatives, benefits administration, employee on-Boarding & off Boarding, HR Compliance/Audit, HRIS and other related activities. Best fit for this role is someone who is excited about scaling systems and processes, engaging daily with employees, and providing hands-on operational direction to a People and Engagement Generalist and the People and Engagement Department.
 
This position will sit in our Boulder, CO office and support three Boulder facilities and one Denver facility to open Spring of 2024.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead and collaborate with senior Leadership Team to align People and Engagement strategies with organizational goals and culture.
  • Develop and implement high-performance frameworks to support individual and team growth.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities to enhance employee engagement and performance.
  • Oversee all aspects of People and Engagement programs, including compensation, benefits, performance management, and training.
  • Manage People and Engagement department and provide strategic consultation for employee performance and engagement.
  • Ensure integration of talent planning strategies from recruitment to onboarding.
  • Establish best practices for training, career development, and engagement metrics.
  • Stay updated on HR trends, regulatory changes, and technology advancements to optimize HR operations.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 10 years of progressive HR strategic leadership with executive teams, driving People, Engagement, and Culture programs.
  • 3 years of leadership experience managing HR and People Operations teams.
  • Proven ability to develop dashboards for executives and drive change based on trends.
  • Comprehensive understanding of HR, including performance management, leadership development, talent management, compensation, labor laws, and diversity & inclusion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to take on diverse tasks and contribute as an individual.
  • Ability to integrate into and advocate for company culture.
  • Preferred experience in startup or high-growth environments.
  • Proficiency in handling sensitive information and HR systems like Paylocity.
  • Bachelor's degree required (Master's preferred) in HR, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field, with HR certification a plus.
COMPENSATION:
The annual salary range for this role as it is posted is $83,673 to $99,710/yr.
The final job level and annual salary will be determined based on the education, qualification, knowledge, skills, ability, and experience of the final candidate(s), specific office location and calibrated against relevant market data and internal team equity.
