What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Product Manager position at Turo?

About the team

At Turo, product managers (PMs) lead the synthesis of customer feedback, data, and business goals into actionable product roadmaps that they design and develop with their team. PMs collaborate with nearly every function in the company, artfully aligning user needs with business goals to create and launch product initiatives. PMs guide the process of researching, prioritizing, building, and shipping world-class consumer products, which is central to Turo's mission of putting the world's 1.5 billion cars to better use.

We’re seeking an exceptional senior product manager to help take our customer support experience to new heights, enabling our global community of guests and hosts to more easily and quickly get the help they need. Vital to Turo's customer experience and business alike, your team will holistically design and develop products that transform how customers resolve issues (e.g. delightful self-service experience) and engage with our support teams (e.g. modern, in-app chat). Your team will also create critical tools that allow our support teams to operate seamlessly at scale.

What you'll do

  • You’ll define product vision and strategies for transforming the customer support experience, in collaboration with your team and key stakeholders.
  • You’ll work with our research, analytics, and support teams to deeply understand and analyze the customer support experience, the key guest and host issues that drive contacts, and how our agents operate, synthesizing user needs into product priorities, roadmap plans, and detailed specifications.
  • You’ll partner closely with our design, engineering, data, and support teams to execute on your roadmap and build outstanding digital products on iOS, Android, and Web.
  • You’ll own product decisions directly impacting the growth of Turo and our customers.
  • You'll become a trusted advocate and product resource for product initiatives.
  • You’ll analyze and report on key product initiatives to leadership, product teams, and other key stakeholders.

What we're looking for

  • Experience working with product development teams prioritizing, building, and shipping high-quality product experiences.
  • Experience commensurate with a senior role.
  • Good judgment and self-direction.
  • Humble, low-ego teammate focused on shipping what's best for our customers.
  • Experience with agile development processes.
  • Eagerness to collaborate with stakeholders, including periodic travel to Phoenix, AZ to work alongside our support teams (about twice a quarter).

Why you'll love being part of the team

  • We're pioneering, challenging the status quo, and always striving to try new things without fear of failure.
  • We're efficient, letting data drive our decisions and prioritizing our work based on impact.
  • We're supportive, always striving to connect, collaborate, and lift each other up.
  • We're down-to-earth, leading confidently without arrogance, and maintaining humility in our work, our culture, and our product.
  • We are a high-growth company with strong financial performance and plentiful opportunities for career growth.
  • We've embraced a flexible work model, bringing together the benefits of in-person collaboration while being able to work from home when you choose.
  • We offer a competitive salary, equity, benefits, and perks for all full-time employees.
