What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aquatics Manager position at Turtle Island Indoor Waterpark?
Turtle Island Waterpark is the newest indoor waterpark in Belcourt, ND and is open all year round! We are currently seeking an experienced Aquatics Manager who will direct all aspects of the waterpark. Including but not limited to operations, planning, budgeting, staffing and payroll. The Aquatics Manager is responsible for maintaining a level of service that exceeds the Guests’ expectations and ensures a positive working environment for all Associates.
Primary Responsibilities:
Successfully drive guest satisfaction, safety and overall fun to create new and repeated visits from guests. Additionally, provide a safe, inclusive and exciting environment for associates.
Actively engage and collaborate with other management team members towards the success of the entire park.
Develop, administer, implement, and monitor all Aquatics department operations, including standard operating procedures in all areas.
Maintain and manage training, performance, certification and accountability of lifeguards and attendants, and all programs therein associated and as prescribed by Ellis and Associates, property Insurance carrier, ARM, LLC, and all Federal, State, Local, and agency standards. Places the highest priority on aquatic safety and develops the staff to understand and value the same priority for safety.
Develop, administer, implement, and monitor Turtle Island Waterpark life safety program, in conjunction with Ellis and Associates, insurance carrier, ARM LLC, and all Federal, State, Local, and agency standards.
Have a working knowledge regarding all mechanical systems within aquatic facility and demonstrate ability to react as necessary to water conditions.
Assure Aquatics Floor is properly staffed during all Water Park's Operating Hours and flex staff as occupancy dictates.
Qualified candidate will have:
- 3-5 years managerial experience in guest service industry with demonstrated ability to ensure guest satisfaction required.
- Knowledge of waterpark industry standards, as well as applicable health and safety regulations required.
- Demonstrated ability to visually assess and evaluate safety hazards in the work place as mandated by OSHA and Ellis and Associates safety procedures required.
- Ellis & Associates Certified Instructor preferred, but willing to train.
- Certified Pool Operator preferred
- 3-5 years of lifeguard experience required.
- Prior experience supervising lifeguards required.
