We are seeking motivated college students who are interested in jumpstarting their careers by gaining real-world construction industry experience. Interns will work with project teams to take part in, first hand, the actual construction experience. Potential project assignments include rail transit, bridge, railroad, and industrial project sites across the Midwest.
Lunda’s internship program is open to full time college/university students pursuing a bachelor’s degree focusing on civil engineering, construction engineering, or construction management.
General/Other Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist Project Managers with technical compliance and oversight of construction activities and field operations.
- Assist Field Superintendents in documenting daily and weekly progress reports.
- Assist with Quality reporting
- Assist with Quantity reporting
- Read and interprets drawings, blueprints, specifications, and related technical documents.
- Assist with project scheduling and coordination
- Perform other duties as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A full-time college/university student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction engineering, or construction management.
- Legally able to work in the United States.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Duties will be performed outdoors at construction sites
- Duties will include physical activities that require considerable use of the arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as standing, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, bending and handling of materials, equipment, tools and machinery weighing up to 50 pounds.
