Service Desk Manager (MSP exp. req.)
Location: Morris Plains, NJ
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 Profit Sharing Bonus (1st Year OTE $83,000 - $95,000)

Job Type: Full-Time
Typical Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM Mon-Fri, On-Call support once every 12 weeks

Service Desk Manager (MSP exp. req.) Description

Our client in the managed IT services industry is looking for a Service Desk Manager to add to their growing team in Morris Plains, NJ. You will be responsible for leading and mentoring the service desk team, managing all processes and procedures related to swift incident resolutions, and developing best practices to ensure high levels of customer service quality and availability. Ideal candidates will have a high level of technical knowledge in an MSP environment, a passion for developing others, and are driven by a desire for continuous improvement. Service Desk Manager (MSP exp. req.) Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and mentor service desk team
  • Develop, implement, and oversee policies and procedures ensuring consistent service levels
  • Create metrics and widgets based on ticketing reports
  • Manage existing ticketing time and revenue tools
  • Improve current service desk methods
  • Monitor department issues and audit work
  • Develop Service Level Agreements
  • Liaise with vendors for the procurement of new systems technologies
  • Oversee resolution of adaptation issues
  • Monitor, track and analyze incident trends
  • Identify, recommend, develop, and implement end-user training programs
  • Stay current on emerging industry trends, technology, and best practices
  • Ensure company safety and security standards are met

Service Desk Manager (MSP exp. req.) Qualifications

  • 4 years service desk experience required
  • MSP environment experience required
  • Desktop operating systems Windows 7, Windows 10, and Mac OS experience required
  • Ticketing and RMM software experience required
  • Must be able to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination status
