Our client, a leader in the dairy nutrition and farm management industry, is seeking an Operations Manager to join their team in Roaring Spring, PA. Reporting to the President, your mission is to steer the efficient operations of the company. You will oversee about 30 indirect reports across the plant and trucking departments, orchestrating seamless workflow and managing key reporting functions. Our client seeks someone who embodies leadership and has a solid track record in production management and team leadership. Warehouse Ops Manager (Animal Nutrition or Engineering exp. required) Responsibilities
- Supervise plant and transportation employees
- Handle recruitment, training and termination of plant employees
- Ensure FDA, OSHA, EPA, HACCP, Quality Control, and Tracking compliance
- Oversee plant purchases and equipment procurement
- Manage plant inventory control
- Manage transportation dispatchers and drivers
- Develop strategies to maximize RL profitability
- Supervise transportation dispatchers
- Coordinate backhauls with Purchasing Department
- Handle the purchase of new equipment
- Ensure legal operation, timely tax payments, and report filing
- Participate as an Upper Management Team member
Warehouse Ops Manager (Animal Nutrition or Engineering exp. required) Qualifications
- Animal nutrition experience or engineering background is required
- Operations experience in a manufacturing/production environment is required
- Excellent people management experience is required
- Knowledge of trucking, logistics and delivery is required
- Ability to work 100% onsite is required
