About the job
This role presents an excellent opportunity for you to play a key role and establish yourself in an exciting, growing and disruptive technology company. The Instructional Designer will work collaboratively with teammates and subject matter experts to design and develop high quality, just in time training for employees within Twilio’s Product organization. This role will also participate in ongoing efforts to innovate our approach to delivering the right training, at the right time, at the right level to drive measurable business impact. Please note this role will be fully remote. You can be based anywhere in North America, and will be required to work Pacific Timezone hours.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
- Design and develop high-quality instructional materials and curricula for a variety of delivery types e.g., eLearning, video, instructor-led training.
- Adhere to appropriate instructional standards and best practices, including analyzing needs and creating design documents and storyboards to outline the course structure.
- Participate in peer observation and pairing with facilitators to support continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Conduct course evaluations to determine effectiveness of training and incorporate measurement and assessment results into future training.
- Improve training effectiveness of content, including transforming existing materials, such as videos and PowerPoint presentations, into eLearning and other training deliverables.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple partners, managing input while owning and driving the development timeline forward.

Required:
- Minimum of five years’ experience with a BA or BS degree in a relevant field such as instructional technology, educational technology, and organizational development.
- Technical background and experience with enterprise software (SaaS/PaaS a plus), Data Sciences, and AWS services.
- Exceptional written and spoken communication skills with background in building accessible training. Experience creating inclusive culture and supporting diverse learners.
- Solid project management skills including, planning work, managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track, using time well, working with stakeholders, and doing whatever it takes to deliver reliable results.
- Experience with one or more of the content management tools: Rise, Articulate, Camtasia, Captivate or other E-learning offering tools.
Location
This role will be based the remote US.
