What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Tax Analyst position at Twin Eagle?
Summary:
Twin Eagle Resource Management, LLC is looking for an experienced accountant to join the Tax team and to assist with the tax and reporting requirements of the Wholesale Energy Commodities business. The qualified candidate will have strong quantitative and interpersonal skills, as well as proficiency in basic accounting functions. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required, and experience in general accounting is preferred. The position will initially report to the VP of Tax.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare Sales and Use tax & Excise tax returns
- Maintain tax records e.g. general ledger balances, Sale report and tax paid invoices
- Assist with preparation of State and Federal audits
- Will be trained on company processes and operations
- Reporting and support of special projects as necessary
- Collaborate and work effectively with peers in Settlements, Trading Back Office Operations, AP, Tax, Treasury, etc.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is Required
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in Accounting and/or Tax
- Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and consistency
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-disciplined in a remote work environment
