Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Manager for a customer located in Dayton, Ohio. The ideal candidate will oversee and manage the quality control processes to ensure the highest standards of production.
Develop, maintain, and support the quality management system and quality control organization per AS9100 and customer requirements.
Principal Responsibilities • Coordinate and implement the quality management system, associated Nadcap requirements, and customer requirements
- Achieve and maintain DSQR for aerospace customers
- Manage the Dayton, OH Plant’s Quality Department’s employees • Work with the customer, suppliers and internal personnel to discuss and resolve quality issues as required • Assist in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives
- Prepare for and represent the company during Nadcap, customer, government, and AS9100 audits
- Perform internal audits of existing quality management systems procedures and processes • Provide training to Quality Control Inspectors • Prepare and present AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) as required
- Assist in the development and implementation of Root Case and Corrective Actions (RCCA) initiatives
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies
- Maintain current, overall, and job specific trainings • Carry-out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws • Other duties as assigned Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) • Detail oriented • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, to include PowerPoint • Manage time with little to no supervision, self-motivated • AS9100 Quality compliance, understanding, and commitment
- Bachelor of Science degree or a minimum of ten (10) years related experience
- Minimum five (5) years of quality assurance management experience in a sheet metal/roll form aerospace facility
