Shift Manager 2nd Shift
Job Duties:
· Ability to manage an entire shift by overseeing the entire plant.
· Ability to be a strong leader of a large group of people.
· Ability to work in Microsoft word and excel spreadsheets.
· Maintain cost effective practices that are compliant with quality
policies and procedures.
· Plan and schedule shift needs; utilizing employees, equipment and
material in order to produce quality products.
· Assign employees and/or managers to jobs and instruct them in the
proper procedures that will ensure quality, safety and efficiency.
· Ensure department safety by overseeing general working conditions.
· Ensure that all personnel are properly trained and have a full
understanding of the processes they are involved in.
· Ensure that all personnel have a complete and full understanding of
plant good manufacturing practices and HACCP programs.
· Ensure that all personnel have good communication skills with the
ability to communicate to other departments.
· Ability to work with Quality Assurance and USDA.
· Ensure that all personnel support continuous improvement initiatives.
3-5 years poultry processing exp. Required at supervisor level or above
experience with debone/portioning/IF preferred
Must be capable of promoting a positive culture of employee engagement and growth of the team directly reporting to you.
