What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Counselor position at Twister Sports?
We are looking for a Camp Counselor to supervise young campers and make sure they learn and have fun. What do Camp Counselors do? The most important out of all Camp Counselor duties is to ensure campers are safe at all times. Counselors will assist parents with signing children in and out, serving snacks, facilitating games and activities as well as day-to-day operations of Kids Camp. The job duties of a Camp Counselor include facilitating indoor and outdoor summer camp games, educating children and setting up equipment. Time management, excellent communication skills and a positive attitude are critical in this position. Applicants should be able to effectively communicate with both children and adults.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate indoor and outdoor activities or sports for groups of campers
- Lead recreational and educational activities
- Escort and oversee children
- Educate campers through reading and games
- Set up and maintain sports equipment
- Effectively resolve conflict among campers when necessary
- Clean and sanitize play areas, equipment and dishes as necessary
