Job Description
The Tyndale Company, a 7x Top Workplaces winner and certified woman-owned business, is hiring for a newly created role as a Contracts Specialist! The Contracts Specialist has responsibility for the business aspect of customer contracts – working closely with the Vice President of Marketing and Content Marketing Manager to review redlines from our legal partner to ensure a customer-friendly version is ready for timely submission with RFPs or outside the Requests for Proposals (RFPs) process. The Specialist will work with various internal departments, all level of management, the customer, and external legal partners to perform their day-to-day responsibilities. Additionally, this candidate is responsible for working with our legal partner to upload, tag, and pull reports for the sales team related to existing contracts in the ContractWorks platform. The Specialist is also responsible for responding to data security questionnaires as they are provided with customer RFPs or otherwise, working closely with IT to ensure responses are accurate, informative, and concise.
As data security and contract negotiation are becoming more and more important in the US and Canada, this individual plays a critical role in retaining and winning new business at Tyndale. In addition, the Contracts Specialist works closely with the pricing and content groups within the marketing department to ensure our contracts and response to data security questionnaires align with what is proposed in other areas of the RFP.
HYBRID/REMOTE: Tyndale supports a strong work-life balance. This Contracts Specialist will work 1 day a week onsite, and 4 days a week remote. To Be considered, candidates must reside within a commutable distance from our Tyndale headquarters in Pipersville, PA (Bucks County) for onsite work.
Responsibilities
- Send contracts for review to our legal partner and provide clear expectations related to level of mark up and any specific requests from the customer/prospect.
- Send Tyndale’s legal partner reviews contracts and provides redlines then the candidate must review the redlines to ensure language aligns with internal policies, practices, procedures, and any requirements outlined by the customer.
- Responsible for communicating contract requirements to internal groups to ensure a seamless implementation for new accounts.
- Works closely with our outside legal partner to ensure timely responses to customer contracts.
- Works closely with our internal IT team to ensure timely and accurate responses to data security questionnaire.
- Collaborates closely with the marketing team to ensure contract language and data security language aligns with other key areas of the RFP.
- Ensures contracts are uploaded, tagged, and searchable in our contract management software, ContractWorks.
- Proactively and regularly updates policies and procedures related to data security practices.
- Collaborates effectively with all levels of management, both internally and externally.
- Ensures that brand positioning and messaging is consistent in contract commentary.
- Become an expert in utilizing and navigating our ContractWorks platform and proactively and regularly create and pull reports to be shared with the sales team
- Following our current contract review process and help to identify ways to streamline to process potentially through a third-party “ticketing” option.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in paralegal studies, communications, or other business-related field
- 3-5 years of experience with technical and legal documents
- B2B experience required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Effective communicator who can streamline communication with both internal and external partners
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with ContractWorks or similar contract management system preferred
- Strong attention to detail skills
- Ability to handle multiple ongoing projects simultaneously
- Able to prioritize projects, work effectively with tight time frames while also meeting deadline
