The Tyndale Company, a 6x Top Workplace winner and a proud women owned business is hiring our newest Field Sales Representative to support our continued growth. Field Sales Representatives travel nationally to meet with customers and educate them on Tyndale’s specialized safety FR workwear, they perform custom fittings, and they serve as a product and service knowledge expert answering customer questions. This entry level opportunity is excellent for someone who loves to travel, and is looking to gain valuable sales support experience working directly with Tyndale's client service and National Sales teams.

Hybrid Remote/Office: Tyndale supports a strong work-life balance; this opportunity is a hybrid position requiring on-site work as needed. When not working on-site you will work from a remote home office. Candidates must reside within a commutable distance from our Houston Distribution Center.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to customer sites, meet with employees, and assist with orders;
  • Demonstrate/explain features and benefits of products;
  • Make recommendations of products within program, recommending higher quality items to customers;
  • Perform fittings for customer’s employees; Prepare ‘fit kits’ for fittings;
  • Take orders placed for products during fittings, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness; collect cash payments;
  • Manage travel itinerary and make travel arrangements for customers’ fittings and visits;
  • Attend tradeshows and various customer events as necessary;
  • Follow-up with customers experiencing difficulty to ensure problems are resolved;
  • Solicit fitting feedback from customers for purposes of increasing customer satisfaction through client services;
  • Disseminate results of customer fittings/events to Sales team, including feedback relating to our products;
  • Participate in driver safety training;
  • When not traveling, in office responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Prepare samples for fittings;
  • Maintain internal database as necessary;
  • Assist sales team by preparing customized catalogs and order forms as well as building new employees in the computer system;
  • Ensure transparency of schedule and internal activities through outlook and flex Zendesk tool to maximize labor efficiency.

Qualifications:

This position requires frequent travel: Must be able to travel extensively (up to 80-90% during heavy business capacity times) both nationally and regionally via air and car; must follow expense policy

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred;
  • Current valid driver’s license is required;
  • Ability to lift in excess of 50lbs is required;
  • Strong computer skills- proficient in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat a plus;
  • Ability to work independently with a positive attitude;
  • Must be detail and action oriented;
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, proven ability to quickly build effective relationships;
  • Ability to learn quickly and to understand/ explain information of a technical nature.
