Job Description
Reporting to the head of working capital finance (WCF) sales and origination, this position will implement and lead a restructured ABF sales and originations team to clinically and proactively drive near-term and aspirational long-term growth across all client segments. Incumbent will champion, influence, and work closely with key stakeholders and partners to drive a renewed winning culture in line with the bank’s strategic priorities and risk appetite, position for more growth from new/new deals, achieve higher product penetration in the right U.S. Bank sweet spots (e.g., mid-corporate/middle market space), and position for more agented and titled deals. Incumbent will also be an integral part of the WCF leadership team and will champion and execute on our holistic working capital finance platform model.

Responsibilities
- Implement the restructure and changes to the coverage model to tenaciously lead and enable near-term and aspirational long-tern growth across all client segments.
- Drive a renewed winning culture that promotes proactive and early positioning with clients/prospects, favors clinical execution, and achieves greater portfolio diversification and growth via new/new deals, higher product penetration from the right internal sweet spots, and more direct/agented/titled deals.
- Drive more ABF deal flow by championing a holistic mindset and promoting ABF’s greatest value proposition: i.e., the ability to attract ancillary business and enabling the relationship teams to champion the entire franchise value of U.S. Bank.
- Partner closely with the WCF leadership team in driving the execution of our holistic working capital finance platform model that drives WCF growth from a client’s perspective.
- Develop junior talent and deepen our bench strength.
- 15-20 years of experience in asset based lending or equivalent in working capital finance with strong people leader, communication, risk management, and organizational skills.
- Strong desire to lead and transform a well established and mature business into an aspirational growth business across all client segments in line with the bank’s risk appetite.
- Strong desire and ability to transform the business into a one U.S. Bank winning culture and driving growth in a clinical and proactive manner.
- Strong client-facing experience at the C-suite level and down in growing accounts and deepening relationships.
- Strong understanding of clients’ working capital needs and experience partnering with cross-functional sales and enablement teams to deliver holistic client solutions.
- Deep knowledge of working capital products and solutions and related ancillary solutions anchored in asset based lending.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with lines of business and enabling functions to drive sales transformation, identify revenue growth opportunities and design solutions.
- Well versed and connected to the asset based lending industry.
- Strong desire and ability to develop the next generation talent and deepen our overall bench strength.
- Ability to travel as required.
