Duties
The PAT performs a wide variety of functions for oil and gas program management to ensure compliance with laws, regulation and policy.
Perform specialized auditing methods and procedures, audit production accountability reviews, and propose new processes and procedures and / or review the impact of new guidance.
Select and audit oil and gas lease cases to ensure production meets requirements set forth in Federal law pertaining to the administration and protection of Federal oil and gas resources.
Conduct Records Analysis (RA) reviews of Federal oil and gas leases, agreements, and units for high priority cases and conduct Records Verification (RV) on all other assigned cases.
Interview and respond to inquiries from field inspectors, inter-agency staff, oil and gas operators, and purchases as needed to acquire information and clarify questions that cannot be ascertained through paper reviews alone.
