*NOTE* This position is a Military position! It does require you to join the Army or the Army Reserve. As a Soldier (Combat Medic) you will recieve paid training for Basic Training 10 weeks and additional weeks 16 weeks for Combat Medic and graduate with you National license as a EMT. We are seeking dedicated and skilled Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to join our team. As an EMT, you will play a crucial role in providing emergency medical care to patients in need. If you are passionate about helping others and thrive in high-pressure situations, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide medical assistance to patients
- Assess patient conditions and administer appropriate medical treatments
- Perform basic life support procedures, including CPR and airway management
- Administer medications as directed by medical professionals
- Monitor vital signs and document patient information accurately
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
- Triage patients based on the severity of their condition
- Safely transport patients to medical facilities while providing ongoing care
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of medical equipment and supplies
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of human physiology and anatomy
- Experience working in an emergency room or similar fast-paced medical environment
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Proficient in basic life support techniques
- Ability to administer medications accurately and safely
- Skilled in critical care procedures and interventions
- Excellent assessment skills for monitoring vital signs and identifying changes in patient condition
- Knowledge of triage protocols and ability to prioritize patients based on urgency
- Experience administering injections is preferred but not required
