CAMPAIGN MANAGER
The Campaign Manager will serve as a member of U.S.VETS national Development & Communications team and report to the Director of Individual Giving. The role will provide project management, fund development and communications support for capital and fundraising campaigns, including 6-8 capital campaigns in progress, as well as other fundraising initiatives throughout the year.

Responsibilities:
- Report to Director of Individual Giving to oversee campaign fundraising and communications nationally, including capital projects, regional and national fundraising campaigns.
- Identify prospects for capital support, conduct prospect research, initiate and conduct direct outreach and solicitation, independently and/or in partnership with senior leadership.
- Create collateral, appeals, newsletters, presentations, reports and associated communications for capital, and other individual giving and campaign fundraising initiatives.
- Support campaign communications, donor stewardship and engagement; secure client success stories, share project updates with supporters, on social media and website.
- Manage national direct marketing campaign, develop print and digital solicitation materials, write quarterly appeals; responsible for creation, production, mailing, analytics and acquisition strategy.
- Coordinate tours and meetings with capital, campaign and individual prospects and partners, media.
- Secure cash and in-kind contributions for programs and facilities, including identifying and partnering with individuals, local community groups, businesses and others to increase donations.
- Update capital and campaign activities on development and communications calendar.
- Utilize database to create records, send acknowledgments, track actions and contacts.
- Work successfully within highly matrixed reporting structure, partnering closely with senior staff and division directors to execute and capital fundraising and communications activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required. The ideal candidate will have:
- 3-5 years fundraising experience, particularly including capital campaigns, individual and corporate philanthropy.
- Excellent project and people management skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
- Discretion and independent judgment in managing donor and community relationships.
- Initiative to personally request and secure investments from individuals, corporations and community groups.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities; strong time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and donors.
- Flexibility, creativity and initiative required to create new opportunities.
- Strong Microsoft Office, database and administration skills.
U.S.VETS is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to end veteran homelessness. We provide 5,500 veterans and families each night with housing, counseling, career services and comprehensive support at 32 residential and service sites nationally. U.S.VETS is developing veteran housing across the country, and expanding homeless prevention programs focused on jobs and mental health, to help veterans transition to civilian life.
