General Responsibilities
To be responsible for the technical, functional, and analytical support to employees and departments regarding the payroll related processing, operations, and systems to ensure timely, accurate computation and processing of payroll information. To assist employees/departments with problems and communicate with technical support to resolve issues. To submit Lawson and Kronos job requests with required parameters for all payrolls from the loading of non-exempt time to the production of checks and direct deposit file. To ensure compliance with departmental, institutional, local, state and federal agency guidelines. To backups and assist Payroll manager in absence or as needed.
Key Duties & Responsibilities

processes biweekly, monthly, and special payrolls. Coordinates the payroll processing schedule and runs the system jobs to ensure accuracy and timeliness of processing payrolls. Ensures that payrolls are processed within institutional policy guidelines, third party agency laws and guidelines and department procedures. Interacts daily with HR Department and technical support or issues related to payroll processing and communicating along the payroll process. Responsible for the system jobs from the loading of Kronos time to preparing ACH files and work with bank personnel to resolve any rejections, file transmittals, issues, etc. Maintains accurate information within Lawson, and assists in the production of various reports and schedules.

Assists employees with hardware, software, or access issues with payroll related systems. Supports employees as they access self-service applications, Kronos time reporting, and understanding their pay statement. Communicates and assists with departments regarding payroll systems, policies and procedures. Provides training on systems. Identifies issues related to payroll processing and work with management and technical staff to implement and/or test any needed changes. Prepares and analyzes a variety of routine and ad hoc payroll reports as requested for management or auditors.

Utilizes and provides training and technical support to Kronos time-keeping system, and works closely with company supervisors to ensure that accurate time-keeping records are maintained. Responsible for updating and maintaining employee time records in Kronos software. Responsible for interfaces between Kronos and Lawson. Assists, and communicates with supervisors regarding corrections, and edits of employee time records and assists with any questions. Responsible for supervisor training and managing workflow in Kronos and the maintenance of the Kronos training materials. Perform testing for potential upgrades. Maintains open-line of communication HSIS regarding Kronos issues and changes.

Works with courts on the processing and remitting of involuntary deductions and ensures prompt payments are made to vendors. Oversees the processing of garnishments, levies, and child support orders. Ensures that prompt and accurate payments are made to vendors. Ensures that accurate records and deductions are maintained within Lawson.
5.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field and five (5) years of payroll, human resource, finance, or related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.
