About the Role
The International Sr. Account Manager I is an operational role in which you will work directly with shippers, receivers and carriers and other vendors to process international transportation transactions with the goal of meeting or exceeding customer service expectations and internal financial performance goals. Depending on the assigned accounts you may serve as a team-lead providing guidance to team members in supporting roles.
What the Candidate Will Do
International Shipment Operation
- Run multi-modal international export & import shipments daily including aligning with relevant regulatory export and/or import compliance policies and accounting responsibilities.
- Understand and work with direct, house & master bill of lading as well as other commonly required shipping documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, & certificate or origin.
- Lead end-to-end process of new customer onboarding covering system usage, account management and other required solutions including crafting customer organizations, setting up goals, triggers, and troubleshooting issues/problems during implementation period, and participating in user acceptance testing.
Customer Relationship- Run all facets of assigned customer account operations including:
- Development, maintenance & implementation of standard operating procedure. Provide training to customers as well as internal team members as needed.
- Timely clear and professional communication of operation tasks including issues, compliance risks or challenges meeting internal or external service expectations.
- Partner and follow up on customer specific critical initiatives.
- Actively market and communicate Uber Freight International services to gain additional customer lanes, modes, and customer referrals for new business opportunities.
Operations Reporting
- Develop and provide customer specific reports and dashboards in collaboration with Business Analyst.
- Identify patterns with shipper, receiver and carrier performance and recommend actions for improvement.
Basic Qualifications
- High School diploma for GED equivalent
- Minimum 3 years related experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with international ocean or air transportation
- Prior experience working in an international Transportation Management System, especially CargoWise
- Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of U.S. import and export regulations and documentation
