About the role
The CLO Operations team is looking for an experienced tech leader to oversee the tools used by the Chief Legal Office Org (CLO). This individual will partner closely with Senior Leadership, IT Business Technology, and CLO teams to drive the CLO tech product roadmap. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and implementing a cohesive technology roadmap for the CLO in alignment with the Org’s overall business objectives.

WHAT YOU’ll DO:
- Evaluate existing tools and systems, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Research and recommend new technologies and tools that align with the CLO strategy.
- Design and oversee the implementation of a cohesive and scalable tech stack, which includes matter management, contract lifecycle management, project management, calendaring and docketing, and email/communication workflows.
- Define the vision for technology implementation projects, project goals, and objectives, provide regular status updates, and partner with IT Business Technology to deliver such projects.
- Evaluate third-party technology vendors and solutions, including AI and Generative AI tools, and select the most suitable partners for the CLO’s needs.
- Ensure integration between different technology solutions to create a seamless user experience.
- Identify gaps to automate and optimize current processes and eliminate inefficiencies using technology tools.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to drive informed decision-making.
- Oversee the CLO Ops teams that manage CLO tech tools.
Basic qualifications
- 5 years of work experience in legal technology architecture and strategy development with 1 year of management experience.
- Strong understanding of legal operations processes and tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong program and project management skills with a focus on KPI setting and tracking and experience with data analytics, including extracting insights from data, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to express complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders and ability to prioritize while managing multiple priorities.
- Experience working with senior leaders and executives on high-impact projects and deliverables.
- Comfortable influencing discussions at the highest levels and a proven ability to find common ground and align cross functional partners and teams with conflicting agendas.
- Strong interpersonal skills and highly collaborative with both business leaders and cross-functional partners, with a strong ability to build relationships, gain credibility, and partner with others.
- Self-motivation with a strong affinity for vision setting, strategic problem solving, and driving action.

For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$137,000 per year - USD$152,000 per year.
For Dallas, TX-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$137,000 per year - USD$152,000 per year.
For Miami, FL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$137,000 per year - USD$152,000 per year.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$152,000 per year - USD$168,500 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$152,000 per year - USD$168,500 per year.
For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$137,000 per year - USD$152,000 per year.
For Washington, DC-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$152,000 per year - USD$168,500 per year.
