On the US & Canada Rider Experience and Business Standards team, we work to improve the overall experience that riders and drivers have on the platform by building fair and financially efficient business policies, increase conversion throughout the rider lifecycle, and delight our most valuable users.
In this Strategic Operations Manager role, you will assist in our Refunds & Appeasements (R&A) strategy efforts. You will curate insights and develop strategies using your analytics skills and business insight. Then, in collaboration with partners across Operations, CommOps, Product, Marketing, Legal, Support, and Finance, you will put those strategies to work through experiments, pilots, and full-scale processes.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
We develop the strategy that drives customer-centric outcomes grounded in data, real-world research, and your own experience using Uber and rideshare products- We test hypotheses, run experiments, and build lasting processes - all while generating real-world, measurable results
- We collaborate with teams from across the business in the shared pursuit of our goals
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent- At least 1 year of professional work experience
- Strong data manipulation experience, such as Excel/Google Sheets
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
2-4 years of experience in consulting / operations / business intelligence / or related experience- For internals only: 2-7 years of experience
- SQL proficiency strongly preferred
- Intellectual curiosity supported by exceptional analytical skill
- Strong attention to detail, history of delivering high-quality output, and comfort with ambiguity in a constantly evolving environment
- Experience working with strategy development, weighing tradeoffs, and making confident recommendations and plans
