Responsibilities
This position supports the patient care, teaching, research and public service mission of UC Davis Health (UCDH) by the commitment to provide development and enrichment opportunities for staff by serving as a UCDH expert in expanding employees’ skill, knowledge and ability and thereby contributing to the well-being and success of individual staff members and UCDH.
The primary responsibility for the incumbent will be to develop, design, deliver and evaluate classroom and individual/group training programs related-but not limited to – career management and communication development topics. Other responsibilities include-but not limited to – classroom instruction, virtual instruction, learning management system support and/or backup, general team support and backup.
Required Qualifications
- Design training program and curriculum for comprehensive training and development classes (classroom or online in-person instruction) and programs based on management theory and adult learning styles.
- Demonstrated knowledge of training and delivery methodologies, organizational diagnosis, organization and business strategies.
- Demonstrated experience with course/curriculum design, development, and instructional design principles of training programs for a variety of audiences.
- Knowledge of learning trends and techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to engage audiences of all levels and occupations
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills to anticipate and identify issues, evaluate information, analyze trends and propose actions.
- Maintain professional composure and effectiveness in a rapidly changing environment with high customer expectations.
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills to interact successfully and efficiently with a wide range of individuals.
- Ability to perform multiple simultaneous tasks at any given time in order to meet or exceed specific objectives and project milestones.
- Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions under pressures such as short time frames or lack of complete information
- Experience using analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations, demonstrating organization and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated skill in conducting needs assessments and task analyses preferred
- Experience with using Learning Management Systems preferred
- Ability to think proactively and partner with others to find creative solutions for their needs.
