This position is eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus for a two year commitment.
Summary:
Performs training, competency assessment, and regulatory oversight for Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) waived and moderate-complexity testing. This position supports system activity.
Work Schedule: Full Time Days/80 hours per pay period.
Responsibilities:
Acts as a technical consultant by demonstrating technical and professional ability to oversee waived and moderate complexity testing procedures as defined by CLIA.
Maintains CLIA licensure and inspection readiness for each laboratory location.
Provides education, training, and competency assessment, as needed, at each laboratory location. Trains staff and performs competency assessment for CLIA waived and moderate-complexity testing as governed by regulation.
Assists with instrument and testing issues at each laboratory location. Recognizes testing issues and find solutions. Writes testing procedures. Assists with instrument troubleshooting and maintenance.
Requirements:
The pay range for this position is: $29.54 - $44.31 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
An annual bonus may be paid to eligible employees based upon organizational and individual performance.

Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or medical laboratory science or medical technology.
Required Licensure/Certification: Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) by the American Medical Technologists (AMT) or as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Technician, Technologist in Chemistry, Technologist in Hematology, Technologist in Microbiology, or Technologist in Molecular Biology by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
Minimum Experience: 2 years of experience in non-waived testing.
