What are the responsibilities and job description for the EMS Educator position at UCLA Health Careers?
The UCLA Center for Prehospital Care at the David Geffen School of Medicine in the Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking an EMS Educator to join our EMS Education team. EMS Educators work under the Paramedic Program Director and collaborate closely with Medical Directors and the management team within the UCLA Center for Prehospital Care.
As a critical member of our EMS Program, you will work as a part of a high functioning team to support the premier EMS education program in the nation. The successful candidate will support all aspects of the program, including but not limited to coordinating, developing, and providing lectures in the Paramedic primary, hybrid, preparatory, refresher, and continuing education programs, collaborating on the development and delivery of psychomotor skills and simulation programs, supporting the clinical/field internship portion of the program, innovating and researching new learning methods to promote student success.
EMS Educators will be a student advocate in the learning process, create an active learning environment, and maintain a high level of industry competence. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to thrive in a collaborative environment, where three principles guide the culture: Do Things Right, Make Things Better, and Be Kind.
Please note that qualified candidates for this position will most likely start at the mid-salary range.
Hourly range: $30.56-$60.82
