What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inquiry Support Specialist position at UCLA?
Under the supervision of the Assistant Principal, the school psychologist, and inclusion coordinator oversees the inclusion team which consists of four inclusion support team members. In collaboration with the School's Child Study Team, observe and evaluate student behavior, identify students who require the assistance of the Inclusion Team and provide instructional classroom support for children with specific learning and/or social-emotional needs at UCLA Lab School in the Graduate School of Education & Information Studies (GSE&IS). Evaluate the needs of targeted students and collaborate in designing an intervention plan. Model various intervention techniques for classroom teaching assistants. Tutor and assist students individually, or in groups to reinforce learning concepts presented by teachers. Support students with emotional or behavioral problems. Train student interns and student volunteers in working with students with special learning and behavioral needs.
