Job Opening Summary
Provides day-to-day diagnostics/analysis associated with Enterprise Building Management System (EBMS). Must be able to read and interpret basic control programs and sequence of operation. Knowledge of programming at the device level. Verifies point database and programming operations are consistent with scope of work for the intended sequence of control HVAC systems. Utilizes current reporting tools to verify system operation. Performs routine commissioning on all systems within the EBMS, including, but not limited to, chilled water valves, damper operation, variable frequency drives, temperature and pressure sensors, third-party devices, fan coil units and large air handlers. Participates in final inspection and testing of newly installed control systems. Utilizes EBMS to access trending for energy data collection. Uses current and future software to interface to field devices. Provides documentation of all work performed per Shands at UF standards. Must be able to work in a highly complex hospital environment in compliance with current ICRA standards.
Must successfully pass an AHCA Level 2 screening for this position.
Job Opening Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or 6 years of progressively responsible HVAC digital control systems experience.
Experience in health care a plus.
Commissioning of HVAC systems (preferred).
Experience in diagnosing and solving operational-related problems pertaining to building mechanical and related control systems.
Knowledge of testing, adjusting and balancing (TAB) of mechanical systems.
Knowledge of building electrical and life safety systems (preferred).
Experience using field testing equipment.
Must be a detail-oriented person with strong communication, organizational and computer skills, including the use of Word, Excel and Outlook.
Understands operations and functions of HVAC air and hydronic systems.
Ability to physically navigate mechanical rooms, tunnels, tight spaces and roofs to perform proper troubleshooting and diagnostics.
Motor Vehicle Operator Designation:
Will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a "non-frequent driver."
