Job Opening Summary
Performs simple and complex analysis on tissue, blood and body fluids using laboratory instrumentation, manual methods and standard operating procedures. Trains other technical personnel in the performance of laboratory tasks. Approves the performance of tests by technicians. Uses independent judgment and assumes accountability for high-quality standards.
Job Opening Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in medical technology; or bachelor's degree and one year as a medical laboratory technician; or 90 semester hours of college credit with 24 semester hours of academic science and completion of an approved clinical laboratory training program; or associate's degree and appropriate combination of training and experience.
- Please seek licensure guidance by reviewing up-to-date licensure qualifications from the Florida Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Must possess either a temporary or current license as a State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist in serology/immunology and hematology.
Minimum Pay Rate - Hourly: $25.99
Midpoint Pay Rate - Hourly: $35.80
