What are the responsibilities and job description for the Solar Installer position at Ufirst?
Duties:
- Install solar panels on roofs or other structures according to engineering specifications
- Connect solar panels to electrical systems, ensuring proper wiring and grounding
- Mount and secure solar panels using power tools and equipment
- Install fixtures and components necessary for the solar panel system
- Test and troubleshoot solar panel systems to ensure proper functioning
- Collaborate with team members to complete installations efficiently and safely
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while working at heights
Skills:
- Experience in plumbing or electrical work is preferred
- Proficiency in using power tools and equipment for installation purposes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of electrical systems and wiring principles
- Familiarity with forklift operation for moving heavy equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Requirements:
- Has own truck
- Fluent in Spanish
- Has a Journeyman (or working on getting one) or master's license
- Has experience working with or on Tesla (preferred but not required)
