General Summary
In this exciting role, we are seeking a new team member to provide the technical skills needed to create interactivity, audio, video, and assessments for all learning opportunities within UFP Industries to support our 14,000 employees.
The eLearning Developer works with subject matter experts to develop custom training programs in multiple modalities, including traditional instructor-led courses, virtual, eLearning, career paths, and training programs that support employee growth and development.
Principal Duties / Responsibilities
- Develop content in online training using tools such as Articulate 360 and Camtasia, including interactive elements, animations, audio/video clips, text to voice, quizzes and assessments that enhances retention, quality, and skills
- Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather resources for use in course design and development
- Serve as a backup for the LMS Analyst; provide Tier 2 technical support for course-related issues
- Appraise capabilities, strengths, and weakness of new and existing content and development tools, and recommends and implements changes and upgrades as needed
- Audit existing content to ensure it is current, relevant, functional, and create and maintain a review schedule for curation of all content
- Performs other duties as required
Qualifications
Knowledge Required
- 2 years of experience authoring online training courses
- Strong working knowledge and experience with Articulate 360 or other tools for creating SCORM courses
- Ability to produce and edit multi-media in the creation of learning experiences
- Professional Communication: written, verbal, and email
- Minimum Bachelor degree in business, learning design, human resources, education, graphic design, educational design, or another related field of study
- Familiar with adult learning concepts, training, and curriculum development
