Be your own boss by creating your own career path and pushing your professional limits. General Summary The Receiving Lead is responsible for supervising the warehouse area. Manages and trains all department employees and is responsible for inventory control Principal Duties and Responsibilities Manages all inbound loads Documents any shortage on orders, investigates reasons for occurrence and informs management and admin of the shortage Coordinates proper loading and unloading orders with receiving personnel Makes sure inbound product is stored properly Ensures all internal/external paperwork meets all Universal as well as DOT regulations and procedures Establishes delivery / receiving appointments and loading times for each carrier Manages internal (UFP) equipment Answers questions and resolves supplier and procurement issues Documents any shortage on orders, investigates reasons for occurrence and informs carrier of shortage to get compensation or to resolve issue with customer with assistance of sales Audits and approves purchase orders Files claims for any loss or damage on inventory and notifies plant management Takes and acts upon all calls for tracing and/or expediting orders Prepares various reports and correspondence as required Manages data on data system Performs other duties as required Job Specifications Knowledge Preferred bachelor degree in related discipline or equivalent Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook Preferred experience and knowledge on UFP's organization, culture, and product lines Skills and abilities Skills and abilities Proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing and speaking Ability to successfully interact with all organizational levels and the public Demonstrated proficiency to manage multiple tasks, to set priorities, and to meet deadlines Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and in developing subordinates Demonstrated ability to be mobile in the work environment Ability to apply business math to manufacturing processes Demonstrated skill in leading projects and other people Demonstrated skill in improving processes Ability to work flexible hours as directed by management Conduct Safety conscious and strong supervisory and interpersonal skills Team player and goal oriented Leads by example and has a positive attitude Participates in Safety and CI programs Looks for ways to improve productivity and department results Punctual and reliable Ability to work under indirect supervision Ability to pass a drug test Ability to work hours mandated by management The Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
