Delivery Room Technician

Delivery Room Technician, UHS Wilson Medical Center United Health Services is seeking a Delivery Room Technician to join our Delivery Room department at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. This position is benefits eligible. Shift: Day Rotational Hours per week: 40 Salary range: $20.50 - $29.62 per hour, depending on experience. Delivery Room Technician / Overview Under general direction, observes and practices sterile technique, maintains asepsis, anticipates and assists the surgeon as needed. Actively participates in patient care and safety. Utilizes OR supplies conservatively and operates as a team member of the OR staff. Key Responsibilities and Expectations Education/Experience Minimum Required: High School diploma or equivalent Preferred: Previous Operating Room experience Previous experience as a Surgical Technologist License/Certification Minimum Required: Meets the NYS Surgical Technologist Certification Law; OR Completed a Surgical Technologist program in the Armed Forces; OR completed a nationally accredited educational program for Surgical Technologist with a nationally accredited Surgical Technologist credentials. CPR Certification within 3 months of hire. Work Environment Work is performed in an office environment and patient care areas in which require working in proximity to other employees and patients. Rooms are air conditioned and heated. Frequent walking, standing, bending and lifting. Fast paced environment with frequent interruptions. Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants. PPE (Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, and Gloves) as required by UHS Hospitals Infection Control policies. Age of Patients Served All Age Groups HIPAA Roles-Based Access to Patient Information Clinical – Access to patient information that is not restricted (an example of restricted information is ARU) – Level 3.
