Weekday Receptionist Fulltime
Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center offers intensive residential psychiatric treatment for adolescents, ages 11 – 17. Treatment includes behavioral, emotional and psychiatric interventions as well as education. Our treatment philosophy is based on trauma-informed care principles and offers distinct progressive phases of care.
The Receptionist implements the philosophy, policy, and procedures set forth by the senior management team while maximizing the highest level of customer service to fellow employees, guests and patients. The Receptionist maintains confidentiality of all patients’ identities while they are being cared for at this facility as well as after treatment is completed. Receptionist utilizes computer for office projects (calendars, flyers, call logs, etc), ordering office supplies and maintains postage machine.
The schedule for this position is Monday thru Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.

Qualifications
EDUCATION: High school diploma/G.E.D.
EXPERIENCE: Prefer two years recent experience in multi-line telephone reception or health care experience. Computer experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Position requires sedentary work, occasionally lifts up to 10 pounds and carries small objects from waist to chest.
Incumbent is sitting at telephone terminal 90% of the time.
Must be able to calmly and professionally handle 100 telephone and/or personal contact daily.
Must courteously accommodate occasional frustration/ anger on the part of customers.
Ability to use computer terminal.
Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
Regularly needs to bend, stoop, and reach to organize supplies and distribute messages/packages over reception counter.
Ability to hear telephone rings and speak clearly over the phone.Must be able to write messages thoroughly, repeat numbers for accuracy, and be able to decipher which messages should be taken by switchboard and which should be routed to a more appropriate person.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.
