SWHS consists of two acute-care hospitals: Inland Valley Medical Center and Rancho Springs Medical Center.
Inland Valley Medical Center
This campus of Southwest Healthcare System, a 122-bed acute care hospital, is the only hospital in the region to offer Level II Trauma Services and is a nationally recognized center for weight-loss surgery. The Total Joint Center at Inland Valley was awarded advanced certification from the Joint Commission for hip and knee surgery, with Spine Services certified by The Joint Commission, and is an Advanced Certified Primary Stroke Center.
Rancho Springs Medical Center
This campus of Southwest Healthcare System, a 120-bed acute care hospital, features the largest Family Birth Center in the region which includes Rady Children’s Level III NICU (Recently ranked #4 in the nation for neonatology by US News and World Report). The only hospital in the region to offer pediatric ER Services from Rady Children’s, is an Advanced Certified Primary Stroke Center, and features the da Vinci® Robotic Xi Surgical System and a new diagnostic Cath Lab.
As a staff member providing clinical expertise you will be responsible for providing excellence in patient care, collaborative and comprehensive care based on patient and/or family needs, and quality and efficient services. Qualifications
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
Ø Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ø Basic knowledge of nursing care terminology and functions.
Ø Ability to accurately interpret and analyze basic cardiac dysrythmias.
Ø Telephone skills.
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
Ø One (1) year as telemetry technician in an acute care facility preferred.
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
Ø High School diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS
Ø Certification from cardiac arrhythmia recognition class.
Ø BLS-C certification.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Ø Ability to work in high volume fluctuating census environment, floating between units as needed based on departmental needs
Ø Subject to many interruptions.
Ø Subject to irregular hours.
Ø Ability to work in a fast paced environment where noise levels fluctuate.
Ø Prolonged exposure to LCD screens.
