We are looking for Registered Nurses who have experience in Mental Health Nursing to help us on our mission to meet the mental health needs of our community.
Peachford has been a leader in behavioral health and addictive disease treatment since 1973. Our 246 bed hospital treats nearly 10,000 children, adults and seniors every year who come seeking the best psychiatric care available. We are looking for candidates who are dedicated and committed to providing the highlest level of compassionate of care. Our hospital is located on a 38 acre wooded campus in the Dunwoody neighborhood of North Atlanta and over 500 incredibly talented employees call us home.
Charge Nurses at Peachford perform valuable leadership duties in addition to taking care of our patients. As a Charge Nurse, you are responsible for making staff assignments and verifying completion. You communicate with families and physicians and direct specific actions during psychiatric codes and other emergencies. Your oversight and energy are what make our nursing units function at their highest level.
We have several Charge Nurse positions open with a variety of shifts and populations to choose from. We offer positions with no weekend requirement and as well as positions within in our weekend option program that offer a higher base pay. All Charge RNs at Peachford receive differential for working in the charge position. Other Registered Nurse positions are available. All full time positions offer a sign on bonus.

Qualifications
We train you to be the best, but there are a few minimum requirements for this position:
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Experience
- At least one year of nursing experience - preferably in a psychiatric environment.
Certifications/Licensure
- State of Georgia or eCompact MultiState Nursing License
Other Helpful Skills
- Written and oral communication skills.
- Skills in case management.
- Skills in time management.
- Knowledge of acute psychological disorders, and advanced principals of abnormal psychology.
- Familiarity with follow-up resource services available to patients.
- Skills in maintaining information as highly confidential.
- Ability to treat all age populations as needed or have the capacity to develop skills through the organization’s cross-training and orientation program.
- Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical records documentation.
