Position Summary:

The Charge Nurse (RN) is a registered professional nurse who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices.  The Charge Nurse (RN)  must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, educational, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served.  The Charge Nurse (RN) have supervisory responsibilities for LPN and Mental Health Technician (MHT/RCW).

 

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required. 

Licensure: Current license to pratice nursing in Washington (or eligible to recieve or renew), RN license required at hire

Experience: A minimum of one (1) year experience as a registered nurse in a psychiatric healthcare facility. 

Additional Requirements:  Successful completion of CPR, First Aid, Handle with Care, and Verbal De-Escalation Certifications, which are provided during Fairfax new hire training.

Work Hours:   Must be able to work 8 hours/day at Everett location. Shifts include:   11pm – 730am(Night).  Must also be able to work rotating weekends.
