POSITION SUMMARY:
The Department Manager will assist the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) with providing the leadership and strategic planning for the nursing department and all administrative processes within. The Department Manager will oversee nursing operations, the Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) clinic and all other areas that effect nursing process’ within the hospital. They will develop policies, procedures, rules, regulations and workflows that meets the needs of staff members and the hospital community as a whole. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, management systems, staffing oversight, budgetary concerns, environment of care, project management, ECT clinic and all other non-patient care aspects within the hospital directly related to nursing staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required (Master’s Degree preferred) in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Hospital Administration, Business Administration, Nursing or related field.
Experience: Minimum two (2) years of experience in psychiatric or mental health field, with a minimum three (3) years of experience in a healthcare clinical, administrative or management capacity.
License: None.
Certifications: Required none.
