The Vines Hospital, located in Ocala, FL is a premier behavioral health facility offering individualized mental health and addiction treatment to adults in a secure and private setting. Our services for individuals include specialty programs for active-duty military and Veterans. Our services include partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. We offer acute psychiatric, detox, and PTSD treatment.

Position Summary
The Utilization Review Director is responsible for the overall management of the department, as well as performs admission and concurrent review of patients. Assures optimum quality of patient care in the most cost-effective manner. Works with the Physicians and the Social Services department to ensure quality of documentation of patient care. The Utilization Review Director is responsible for the hiring and selection of Utilization Review staff, the development and revision of all UR department policies and procedures, monitoring performance and coaching and counseling UR staff to maintain and/or improve productivity and performance of the UR department staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
1. | Education: | Master’s Degree in psychology, counseling, social work or related field or a minimum of an Associate in Nursing required. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred. |
2. | Experience: | Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in chart analysis and utilization review required. Utilization Review, preferably in the psychiatric and chemical dependency field. Three (3) to five (5) years supervisory experience preferred. |
3. | License/Certification: | Florida RN License required or LCSW or LMHC preferred. |
4. | Skills: | Good oral and written communication skills required to communicate in a clear and concise manner with patients, physicians, staff and administration. Stable emotional makeup required to work in a fast paced environment with frequent interruptions. |
5. | Physical Requirements: | Work is sedentary requiring sitting most of the day. Sitting at least six (6) hours a day while processing paperwork, answering the phones and other described duties. One half of the day is spent on the telephone. Standing at least one hour a day while making copies, delivering message, etc. Lifting up to 20 lbs of copier paper from floor level to check level while filling copier with paper. |
